Proving the Value of Your Next Meeting or Event

April 6, 2021, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Central Time

We've all witnessed how meetings and events are affected by economic downturns, uncertainty in the economy, and yes, pandemics—they are usually the first to go. This often occurs because those who sponsor and pay for the events don't see the value of these meetings and events. Think about this situation: If you organize a meeting or event, participants attend, and they leave the meeting or event and do nothing at all with the meeting's content, would you consider that to be successful? From the perspective of those who pay for it, it's a failure. If participants paid to attend, it may not be a good use of their time. For a corporate meeting sponsored by senior executives, if nothing happens, then it was a waste. Unfortunately, this situation occurs often because the total focus is on getting participants to the event and what happens at the event. There is almost no focus on what happens after the event.

What is needed is a serious evaluation approach to major leadership development programs. The ROI Methodology has become the most used evaluation system in the world for measuring business value, including ROI. This system captures data at five levels outcomes reaction, learning, application, impact, and ROI. It is user-friendly, valid, reliable, and delivers CEO and CFO-desired results.

Attend this webinar on April 6, 2021, to learn how to show the value of your next meeting or event and prove that value to sponsors, supporters, and funders. In this webinar, we will describe the chain of value as participants:

  2. Learn at the meeting or event (the takeaways),
  3. Apply the new knowledge or skill gained from the meeting or event (their actions),

  5. Deliver an ROI, the comparison of the monetary benefits to the costs.
