Winston Churchill is quoted as having said not to trust any statistics that you do not fake yourself. If we do not understand the fundamentals of statistics, we are at a disadvantage. Statistics are a powerful analysis language that adds credibility to your data analysis and reports. A growing number of executives are expecting us to have this capability. This course will help you learn how to interpret and speak the language of statistics to report the results of your data collection programs. Defend your data with statistics that make sense and convinces executives you know how to use statistics to make your data analysis simple and easy to understand.
Learning Objectives
During this course, you will learn how to:
- Explain the importance and necessity for the appropriate use of statistics
- Describe fundamental statistical concepts and methods
- Recognize the four levels of measurement: nominal, original, interval, and ratio.
- Determine the appropriate use of descriptive and inferential statistics.
- Interpret numerical and graphical summaries of statistical outputs.
- Develop reports to communicate basic statistical outputs in a meaningful way.
